Civil Court Clerk:

Clerical and administrative support for the Clerk of Court in a fast paced environment where
accuracy and attention to detail is crucial. Assists in administering Family Court proceedings
and docketing. Coordinates court matters with various departments in the criminal justice
system. Good written and verbal communication skills are essential.

  • Must have an Associate Degree.
  • Ten years experience in clerical work.
  • Must have excelent computer skills.
  • Prefer working knowledge of legal language and legal procedures.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Must work well with the public.

Finance Clerk:


Cherokee County is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the position of Finance Clerk. The duties
include but are not limited to clerical and technical work in accounts payable with a working
knowledge of purchasing. Accuraccy and attention to detail is essential.

Qualifications:

  • Must have an Associate Degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Five Years experience in clerical work with at least three years in A/P.
  • Must have excelent computer skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

Automobile Mechanic:

Cherokee County is seeking a qualified mechanic for the Vehicle Maintenance Department.
Duties include but not limited to the repair of automobiles, trucks and heavy equipment
with an emphasis on diesel equipment, brakes and welding.
   
  • Knowledge of gas and diesel engines/transmissions, hydraulics, pump and valves, generators and welding
  • 3-5 years experience
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective preventative maintenance
  • Valid CDL license
  • Must have own tools
  • Diploma or GED equivalent preferred but not required

Criminal Court Clerk
Clerical and administrative support work for the Clerk of Court in a fast paced office to
included typing, data entry, filing, answering the phone and other administrative duties.  
Assists the Clerk of Court in Circuit Court proceedings.  Works directly with Attorneys
and Judicial Court Staff.  It is equally important for the candidate to have excellent written
and verbal communication skills and have the ability to focus on attention to detail.

Qualifications:
  • Must have an associate degree.
  • Ten years experience in clerical work.
  • Must have excellent computer skills.
  • Prefer working knowledge of legal language and legal procedures.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Must work well with the public.
